Review of Gemix Slot by Play ‘n Go

Though the game offers a gemstone theme, there is a bit of a mining-related design in the background as well. Theme and Graphics
The theme of Gemix slot is not one of its strong points. Inspired by gemstones, in a world of fantasy, the slot ends up using a Candy Crush Saga inspired design, with jewels coming in different shapes and colours on its reels. It’s colourful and cartoon-like, and definitely well designed, but the cheerful nature of its look will not appeal to everyone.

Special Features

Crystal Charge
As you form clusters and you get symbols removed, the crystals involved are collected. Once you get 20 symbols collected, a Crystal Charge will trigger. These include four types of outcomes, described below.
Nova Blast: one symbol explodes, transforming nearby symbols.
Crystal Warp: matching symbols of a single type are warped to other symbols.
Light Beam: one symbol shoots light beams, transforming other symbols.
Chain Lightning: connects two corner symbols with a lightning chain, transforming hit symbols.
Super Crystal Charge: this one requires that you collect 40 symbols, and at that point, your next wins will be multiplied by 3x, while the Super Crystal Charge triggers.
Three Levels with World Wilds
With three levels that you go through, there will be three types of wild symbols that can trigger. The World Wilds come into play at random, during non-winning rounds.
World Patterns: this is the way that you can advance to another level/world. You have certain patterns of symbols, with positions where you need to form wins before you can advance to the next level. Have wins on all those positions of the world pattern, to do that.
World Wilds
There are three types of World Wilds, that you can get access to.
Wild Miner: adds up to 10 regular wilds.
Wild Lady: spreads wilds from edge to edge, during losing spins.
Wild Wizard: gives up to 8 sticky wilds during losing rounds.

Verdict: A highly appreciated game over the last couple of years, Play n Go’s Gemix slot features, unique features and a type of game engine that’s not that common these days. The cluster pays system can be exciting, particularly as you charge things up and can get multipliers, and it doesn’t hurt that it has a sense of progression as well, with its three World levels. As the game can pay reasonably well, has medium volatility and a decent RTP at 96%, it has quite a few things going for it, and I recommend it to anyone looking for a bit of fun.
