As a game with cartoon-style graphics which revolve around life in the Middle Ages and the famous knights, in particular, I’d expect Knights of Gold slot to be quite the popular title in Betdigital’s collection. There are reasons outside the theme why that would be so, including the way the layout has been organized.
Layout wise, it’s an unusual slot machine, which has 5+5 reels in two different game areas, so 10 reels total and 100 paylines which may form combinations. Looking at its big features, those have on the list:

Theme & Graphics
Theme-wise, Knights of Gold slot is not the most unique game you will see, and there are a lot of similar slot machines out there already. There aren’t enough of them to manage and make the theme sound boring though, and I for one am still excited when I check out a game with medieval knights in it. The unique look of Knights of Gold comes from the two sets of reels that spin at the same time, one with 3 and the other with 12 symbols per column. It gives the game an uneven look, which tends to take away from its beauty. Switch back to its symbols though, and you will love what Betdigital did with them, being highly-detailed and made in an attractive cartoon style.
Those symbols will show things like hammers and axes against shields, a knight’s sword, a cartoon castle, simple shields, flags, a knight’s helm and gold goblets. The mix of Royals, even though they’re sporting a very elegant design, isn’t nearly as impressive.
Special Features
The game’s unusual style is obvious as soon as it loads. With two sets of reels, of 5 reels each, one of them will be regular-sized (3 symbols per column), while the second would be classified as colossal, having 12 symbols on each column.
The Wild Logo, set against a knight’s sword, is your substitute for the game. You may use it in the formation of a new win, either along its own wilds or next to regulars. On its own, its big payout is at 2,000x.
As an added feature, the appearance of three wilds on an entire reel from the first set will copy them to the same reel from the second set, expanding it on all 12 positions.
The Axe & Hammer Shield will be your bonus symbol, and its presence in three positions will get the free games started. Five different combinations of free spins and multipliers are available, for you to pick from. The extremes are the 30 free spins with the 1x multiplier and the 3 free spins which have wins multiplied by 10x. Several other options are listed between these two. Additional features will be activated, based on other choices that you make at the start of the free spins (wild multipliers, Royal symbols removed, or Royal wins multiplied by 2x). Knights of Gold have huge potential for the player, as you can see for yourself once you start adding up all the available options. For example, while a regular combo of five Towers or Wilds will pay 2,000x, or $2,000, the free spins can add 10x multipliers and the wilds can add additional 2x multipliers to the mix. A win of $40,000 from just one of those 100 lines is not out of the question then.
An RTP of 95.12% which has been announced for this game tells us that long-term it doesn’t do as well for the player as other slot machines that are released these days.
